A while back I gave you a look at my reading habits in a post titled in 7 different languages, Books, Libros, Bücher, книги, Bøker, 书, 本.
Well today I received a pleasant surprise in the mail. It seems that Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba are doing a great job tracking talk around the web about their book, Citizen Marketers. In the post, I had listed the book on my wish list. Then this afternoon, in a neat little package, arrived my own personal copy of the book along with a cool little 1% patch and nice handwritten note.
In the note, (Click image to view larger) they say they “saw that I had Citizen Markers on my book wish list” and to “consider this an early Christmas present!” At the end of the note it says, “Hope you enjoy it. (If you do, we’d love to see your mini-review of the book on Amazon.)”
I thought I would do them one better for now by sharing this experience with you.
Thank you Ben and Jackie for the awesome book and for proving your belief in the power of the 1% rule.
Chris,
That is awesome! Ben and Jackie I have also been a good boy this year…
Jerry Seinfeld: “[The library] reminds me of like this pathetic friend that everbody had when they were a little kid who would let you borrow any of his stuff if you would just be his friend. That’s
what the library is…a government funded pathetic friend.”
Happy Holidays!
Bill,
I just started reading it today. And it’s great so far.
You are the Seinfeld man. And btw, if you read the post on my reading habits you will know that I am a regular at leeching on that “government funded pathetic friend” for his books.
Have a great New Year!
Chris,
Very nice. Just don’t tell me how it ends! I have it on the list, but I am still trying to catch up on books that are now 2-3 years old. I should buy a new book within the relaease month by 2011.
