The standout stat on this infographic is that 92% consumers find recommendations from people they know to be trustworthy and 90% find recommendations from people they know to be relevant.
This in and of itself shouldn’t be that surprising, but I wonder how much the vehicle that these recommendations are given matters. For example, how much more impactful is a face-to-face recommendation over a recommendation that comes in the form of an email or social media post? Or do consumers weight them the same?
If there is a round two of this study, I hope that is somehow included.
