Women Lead Men in Adopting Social Media

Not surprising. According to a March 2013 survey conducted by Burst Media, Women continue to lead men in the adoption of social media sites.

  • 65.4 percent of American adults have at least one social media account for personal use
  • Women are more likely to have an account with six of the top 7 social networks
  • Women are especially more likely to have an account with visual services such as Pinterest and Instagram
  • LinkedIn however, sees a higher adoption rate from men than women
