James - thanks for your comments.

ooVoo is a crayon client and we've used ooVoo (amongst others services) to collaborate under our remote model.

Did I say it was the best service for internal communication/collaboration? No...but I have to tell you that when we had the ability to see each other (up to 6 of us at the same time), it did make a big difference...especially when we were far away.

We also did a pitch once from within Second Life...our client was in the UK; I was in Vegas and 2 crayonistas were in NYC. It actually worked really well, although we didn't win the pitch :)

As for the strategically consulting comment....the correct phrase is "strategic consulting" or crayon is a "strategic consultancy", which is a pretty standard/accepted business descriptor. Apologies if my South African accent made it difficult to understand.

oovoo is terrible, technically speaking. Who prefers oovoo to skype, for example, for conferencing or personal communication? drop outs, echos, etc.

I know what you're gonna say - "Other services may be technically superior but the company doesn't 'engage' in 'the conversation' with the user in the way oovoo does under my tutelage. It's about how companies deal with their shortcomings via conversation with their customers, prosumers etc."

Good luck "strategically consulting"...whatever that is.

I was clearly talking about Crayon's fashion sense, since that will be ever more important with people working from remote locations. :) Thanks for catching the typo.

Thanks again for contributing Joseph. Your passion on this topic is contagious.

When you say, "crayon is a mash-up of shorts," are you referring to things like Bermuda's, gym, khaki and cargo? :)
