Very true. Of all the ideas listed, volunteering is one of the most beneficial activities, not only for self, but for those you are helping.

I know it's random, but I couldn't help but think of Oprah while meditating on this subject.

We can't all empathize like Oprah, who can accredit a good portion of her uncanny ability to the diverse life she has lived. She grew up in poverty and has worked her way up to be one of the most successful talk show hosts in history. She's been all over the world and met people from all walks of life.

She is also known for her great generosity and willingness to give her time to help others in need.

It's no wonder she can get the guests on her show to spill their guts on live TV as if they were talking to their private therapists.

Bravo Chris!

Volunteering is a GREAT way to accomplish everything you mention here! It's also some of the best "free" training you can get! I learned that firsthand early in my entrepreneurial career and later read that Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad urged him to hone his leadership and managerial skills through volunteering for a cause, a church, an organization, or whatever!

Time-honored good suggestion and I predict that will be just as true in the future!
