You’re so right.

It’s a struggle. It’s can be hard to adapt and change the way we communicate when everything we say makes perfect sense to us, and as you point out even those of us who are “flexible” to try different methods can easily confuse communication even further.

It reminds me of the NLP Presupposition that “The meaning of your communication is in the response that you get.”

Most people either aren’t flexible enough to alter their communication to get the desired result, or they are flexible, but in the wrong directions.
